There is no other place of social gathering you`ll ever find people meeting with oneness, joy, and peace as we meet in this ordained building called the Church. The sick crawl to this building with just a belief, the pious call it faith, and leave jumping and clapping and worshiping their healer. Those cornered by poverty receive total redemption just by virtue of believing that ‘we were made to be rich and enjoy everything in our vicinity, as they are made to believe by their hardworking pastor riding a guzzler.
I have nothing with the church, I grew up in one, thanks to my religious mother who would cane my skin off if I attempted to fake a headache so as to avoid waking up for the Sunday school. Every child needs a religious background and its equally important to have a supreme being to whom you believe, works, but my battle with the church starts when I think of what these clergymen try hammering into our minds, they teach of the life after death more than they do of the life we are currently leading, if we have the surety of receiving the eternal prize, the why don’t we get to things that are troubling us in this current life? Teach me to make a living, to being up a happy family, to know where and when to invest.
I believe the church has a very good platform to amass a community of investors by inviting investment advisers who can teach the masses on the emerging investment trends, every one would look forward to that Sunday of Educations on Real Estate licensing and Investment.
The church should be on the fore front to teach its believers on ways to make a profit in their day to day business, not to give them M-pesa accounts where they should plant seeds as if phones are coming with portable gardens. Plant the seed in us, not we planting a seed on some gadgets from China. Teach these people to invest in the new ways and in the technology and that’s the best seed that we can ever plant, for one the church will rest assured that all its future plans are safely catered for.
